l recently bought a 96 Dodge Caravan, l have some trouble with it not wanting to start on occasion, l turn the key and just hear the seleniod, then when l come back later, it starts fine and will until it does it again, it is gotta be an easy fix, maybe the starter has a deadspot in it?
id check the connections on it good also,but it sounds like you may know already whats wrong with that one,those usually start out like that when their going bad,you can have it checked before you buy one just to be sure on it though its free at any parts store,good luck.
sounds like you got it right..a new starter should do it.
it is easy to get change out.just disconnect the battery first.
